CapstoneBI is looking to contract with an experienced BI consultant for a 2 month period. This contract period will likely extend through the end of the year, provided the consultant succeeds with the projects assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years experience developing business applications in a SQL Server environment, in both relational and multi-dimensional environments
• Familiarity with the entire Microsoft BI platform, including all BI tools of SQL Server, SharePoint and Office (additional experience with other BI tools a "plus")
• Proven experience working within teams to design and develop large scale, global, enterprise-wide business applications
• Practical experience developing multi-dimensional structures using SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008
• Practical experience developing end user reporting in SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008
• Ability to multi-task on a continual basis and manage deadlines
• Proficiency in TSQL, MDX, XML
• Personable demeanor, positive attitude, and strong communication skills

• Provide technical expertise to functional and detailed designs
• Engage business users, analysts, technical staff, and project team members to design, develop, implement, and enhance applications
• Recommend optimizations and reconfigurations of physical application designs and data structures
• Work with database administrators to migrate applications from development and testing to production
• Provide full life cycle architectural guidance and ensure quality deliverables
• Participate in the development and maintenance of corporate data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards
